The Binax™ Legionella Urinary Antigen EIA kit is an enzyme immunoassay (EIA) intended to qualitatively detect the presence of Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 antigen in urine as an adjunct to culture for the presumptive diagnosis of past or current Legionnaires’ disease.
Binax™ Legionella Urinary Antigen EIA provides accurate identification of Legionnaires’ disease caused by Legionella pneumophila serogroup 1 in a standard 96 well EIA format. Fast and accurate diagnosis of Legionnaires’ disease and early initiation of appropriate therapy has been shown to dramatically reduce morbidity and mortality.
