In the US, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulates laboratory testing, excluding research, through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). The CLIA program recently introduced the Individualized Quality Control Plan (IQCP) as a new quality control option for nonwaived testing.
This new approach allows laboratories to tailor a QC plan based on their unique environment and personnel, sample, reagents, and test system. We are pleased to provide you with materials to support your IQCP needs.
