BinaxNOW™ S. pneumoniae Antigen Card is a rapid assay for the detection of S. pneumoniae antigen in the urine of patients with pneumonia and in the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) of patients with meningitis. It is intended to aid, in conjunction with culture and other methods, in the diagnosis of both pneumococcal pneumonia and pneumococcal meningitis. The BinaxNOW™ S pneumoniae Urinary Antigen Card can be read visually through the window or with DIGIVAL™.
DIGIVAL™ with BinaxNOW™ Streptococcus pneumoniae card is available only in select markets.
BinaxNOW™ S. pneumoniae Antigen Card provides accurate, rapid identification of S. pneumoniae antigen in patients with pneumococcal pneumonia and pneumococcal meningitis with an easy-to-use technology, aiding physicians in providing rapid, focused therapy. The BinaxNOW™ S. pneumoniae Urinary Antigen Card can be read visually or with the DIGIVAL™ reader, which eliminates operator subjectivity and is designed to provide consistency in the reading of lateral flow test assays.
