Osteomark® NTx mesure les N-télopeptides croisés du collagène osseux de type I (les NTx). La molécule NTx est dotée d’une séquence d’amino-acides unique et d’une orientation des N-télopeptides croisés alpha-2 (I) particulière, et est spécifique au tissu osseux. La mesure des taux de NTx aide ainsi à surveiller le développement de la première cause de perte osseuse liée à l’âge conduisant à l’ostéoporose.
